Dead Artist Week #1
We're Still Here
As much as it might seem like we're not continuing this comic - we are. We're just working on the next comic, besides trying to get through classes. Next comic should be up very soon.
Well, despite its best efforts, the evil super-bug that managed to attack me last Monday, has yet to kill me. It has however managed to limit me to one good eye, one good ear, and one good breathing passageway. That and it has managed to make me almost hibernational, what with sleeping almost 16 hours a day.
Therefore, I present to you the picture I managed to make in order to maintain the illusion of a regualr updating schedule, which gives a somewhat close representation of what I looked like on Sunday. I call it: Eddie, The Diseased Hobo, due to what I believe is an accurate description of what my actual person looked like on Sunday.
Of course, radoon felt it necessary to modify it to his liking, so I would title the comic, "Eddie: The Diseased Hobo, featuring Mr. Attention Whore."
That gives me an idea...
Anyway, past that, the next comic may still not be completed on time for next week, what with the lingering illness, and the mounds of homework caused by it, but I'll try my best.
Sickness is there to remind you that life is trying to kill you.
Rock Band: More Addictive Than Some HQ Cocaine
As you can tell, we have a dead artist. I'll let him go into what happened.
Needless to say, our original comic didn't get done this week for the obvious reason... I'm happy with at least having something to put up this week. We have a pretty cool comic coming, but the art is still in progress.
Anyway, on to the topic of my news/rant. Rock Band - the music simulation game integrating guitar, bass, drums, and singing into a marvelous game. I first started playing it at a LAN party last month... A few weeks later I got to play it again, which also happened to be the day I picked up a guitar and the game for myself. Since the day I bought it, I've played at least 2 hours a day. Whenever I play at my friend's (who has the whole set), I get to experience the other instruments. Last time, I tried both singing and the drumming for the first time and am now *very* tempted to go pick up a set of my own (luckily PS3 peripherals work with my PS2). All that's stopping me is money... much like a coke-addict. I think I might have to pass the game disc off to someone so that I can't play it until after midterms/homework are done.
On another note more related to the comic-biz, I've revamped the website a bit. I made things a little more consistent, changed the navigation into pretty images, and got the forum up. Also, I've added the avatars beside our newsposts to make us look more l33t. I do what I can...
edit: After I posted this comic, I went home and played more Rock Band... I finished it on hard and I'm around 9 songs away from finishing it on expert. Truly addicted.
